Helping More Families Experience Cloth Diapering

Lilly & Frank is proud to support Cloth for a Cause, a Canadian organization helping families who may otherwise find the upfront cost of cloth diapering out of reach.

We collect donated cloth diapers from our community, carefully sort and prepare them, and create free starter kits for families who would like to give cloth diapering a try.

Could Cloth Diapers Be Right for Your Family?

Cloth diapering can be a great way to reduce the ongoing cost of diapers, but getting started can feel overwhelming — especially when you're not sure if cloth will work for you.

Through Cloth for a Cause, Canadian families experiencing financial hardship can apply for a cloth diapering package and have the opportunity to give cloth diapering a try.

Approved families in the Lower Mainland may be connected with Lilly & Frank to receive a starter kit prepared using clean, carefully selected preloved cloth diapers donated by families in our community.

Give cloth a try. If you decide it isn't for you, we'd love for you to return your kit or pass it along to another family who could use it.

If you love cloth and want to continue, please reach out. When donations allow, we're happy to help with additional diapers and supplies and can also help you find affordable ways to build your cloth diaper stash.

Have Cloth Diapers to Donate?

We happily accept preloved cloth diapers and accessories that can be given a second life with another family.

Donations can include cloth diapers, covers, inserts, prefolds, flats, wet bags, pail liners and other useful cloth diapering supplies.

They don't need to be perfect. Minor staining, relaxed elastics, a missing or damaged snap, or other small issues that can reasonably be repaired are absolutely okay. Lilly & Frank has the equipment and supplies to complete many common cloth diaper repairs before items are added to a kit.

We do ask that donated items still have useful life left in them. Delaminated waterproofing, severely damaged or shredded fabrics, significantly or heavily stained diapers that cannot be improved through normal cleaning, or items that are no longer functional unfortunately can't be passed along to another family.

A good rule of thumb is: Would you feel comfortable passing this diaper along to another family once it's cleaned and any minor repairs are completed?

If you're unsure, please reach out — we're always happy to take a look.

If you have cloth diapers you'd like to donate, please reach out to us to arrange a drop-off in Surrey.

A Small Kit Can Make a Big Difference

Our goal isn't simply to give away as many diapers as possible. It's to give families a positive first experience with cloth diapering.

By keeping starter kits manageable, donated diapers can help more families try cloth. Families who decide it's right for them can then come back for additional support when available.

Every diaper that gets passed along has the opportunity to save a family money, keep disposables out of the landfill and help another baby experience cloth. ♡
