Our Stay Dry Natural Duo Insert is designed with two separate sections that easily snap together.
The insert's top section is constructed with multiple layers of organic cotton and topped with a 'stay dry' microfleece layer. This layer resists staining and helps to keep your baby feeling dry, even when the insert is wet.
The bottom section consists of several layers of our beloved hemp/organic cotton jersey fabric.
Together they provide enough absorbency to be used as a standalone diaper, but each section can also be detached and used as a nighttime booster.
To use the insert as standalone inner absorbency, just place it into a Duo Wrap and secure it. It's that easy! If using alone, our recommendation is (1) Duo Wrap for every (3) Duo Stay Dry Natural Insert.

Care and Use
Before Using your Diapers:
01. Invest in some cloth diaper safe laundry detergent that won’t leave a residue on the fibers of your diapers. There are many options but a popular choice that you can find locally is Tide Free + Gentle. Search online for Cloth Diaper Detergent Index to find a detergent that works for you.
02. Prep-wash: Wash and dry all of your new Thirsties products with detergent and warm water before use.
Washing Soiled Diapers:
typically every other day
01. Wash on a Quick Wash cycle on warm with detergent to ‘pre-wash’ your Thirsties.
02. Add more detergent and wash with hot water on a Heavy Duty Cycle with an extra rinse. Add washing soda or Calgon if you have very hard water.
03. Hang dry in the sun whenever and wherever possible. Alternatively, dry in dryer on medium-high heat for about 60-75 minutes until fully dry. Add dryer balls for quicker drying.
Can you only wash the diaper cover and replace the insert?
Yes! As long as it's just pee, you can wipe down the shell, replace with a fresh insert and keep reusing!
How many AI2 cloth diaper covers do I need?
We recommend a 3 to 1 ratio of cloth diaper cover to insert. For full time that's about 12 covers and 24 inserts if your are washing every other day OR 36 inserts if you are washing every 3 days.
Can I use AI2 cloth diaper for night-time?
Absolutely! Just make sure to pair with overnight inserts!
What do you do with the poop?
To get rid of poop in your AI2 you can use disposable or reusable diaper liners, or you can spray it in the toilet with a diaper sprayer.
How do I wash AI2 cloth diaper covers?
After getting rid of solids, you run a pre-wash cold, then hot wash cycle with detergent (use the recommended amount), follow with an extra rinse. Tumble dry low or hang dry.
